There is a darkness
And sometimes an edge
Or a lining
And sometimes it is silver
Like the sliver
Of a moon
Or of skin
Subtly pulling you in
There is a whole
And sometimes a hole
It is black
And sometimes you fall in
Sometimes you stay there
Sometimes you grow there
Searching
Or learning
To find yourself again
Because
There is a darkness
A blanket
A canopy
An entirety
A whole
A safe space
A free space
A temporary
autonomous
zone
And when everything goes
Everything that you think
you know
There is a darkness
One without eyes
Ears, mouth, nose
It is not cold.
And if you let it,
It’ll guide your heart
and heal your soul
